Finishing a retro
End the retro
When the discussion is over, the host or a moderator ends the retro. Three things happen:
- A snapshot is saved to the room history, named after the session, for example "Sprint 24 (Retro)".
- The board is frozen: every note becomes visible to everyone, and nothing can be added, edited, moved, reacted to or deleted anymore.
- The only thing that still works is clicking a task chip to look at that task.
Actions you never retype
Every note you wrote in the Action items zone becomes an action item when the retro ends, so nobody has to copy it into another tool. Find them all on the Retros page of your organization, next to the retro they came from.
- Give each action a status: open, in progress or done.
- Choose who is responsible and set a due date.
- The top of the page shows how many actions are still open and how many are overdue, across all your retros, so nothing is lost between one sprint and the next.
One retro per session
A session has exactly one retro. Saving it twice returns the one already saved. The finished board stays on screen until the room is deleted.
History and export
The saved retro appears on the room's history page with its notes, reactions, linked tasks and connections. You can download it as CSV, with columns for the zone, the text, the reactions, the linked tasks and what each note is linked to.
Who wrote what
Each note remembers its author's name. The history and the CSV show authors only to people who manage planning poker in the organization; everyone else gets the retro anonymously. This is an application rule; see What is kept for the details.
