Send estimates back

When the team accepts an estimate for an imported task, it can be written back to the original issue, so the estimate does not have to be copied by hand.

Choose where it goes

After you connect a tool, a Configure step asks whether to send estimates back and which field to use:

• Jira: a number field read from your site, with "Story point estimate" preselected.
• Linear: the native Estimate (whole numbers only).
• ClickUp: Sprint Points, or a custom number field.

You can change this later in Estimate settings. It is kept if you reconnect.

What happens

When an estimate is accepted, it is written to the issue within moments, without making the room wait. The room history then shows either "Estimate sent" or the reason it was not.

What is not sent

Estimates that are not numbers, such as ?, ☕ or T-shirt sizes, are recorded as not sent. Linear needs whole numbers, so a half point is not sent there.
