Create a room

A room is one estimation session. It holds your tasks, the votes and, when you want it, a retrospective board.

Before you start

1. Create an account and confirm your e-mail with the 6-digit code we send you (or the link in the same e-mail).
2. Create your organization, the workspace your rooms belong to, or accept an invitation to someone else's.

You need the permission to create rooms. Organization owners have it; an owner can give it to other roles in the organization's role settings.

Create the room

1. Open Rooms and choose New room.
2. Give it a name. People will see it when they open the link.
3. Pick a deck.
4. Pick the mode: Live or Async. An async room needs a voting deadline. See Live and async rooms. The mode cannot be changed afterwards.

Share it

Copy the room link and send it to your team. Anyone with the link can ask to join. If you need to stop new people from coming in, lock the room.

Add tasks

Type them in, import them from Jira, Linear or ClickUp, or bring them in from a CSV.

Archive when you are done

An archived room accepts no new players but keeps its history, so you can still open the results.
