The best planning poker tools in 2026, compared

We compared 13 planning poker tools on what matters when you pick one: what the free plan really includes, where it stops being free, whether everyone needs an account, and how it works with Jira.

We make Planning Poker Web, one of the tools on this list. We tried to be fair: every figure comes from the vendor's own site, checked in October 2026, and we say clearly when another tool is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free planning poker tool?

It depends on the limit you would hit first. For no caps and integrations, Planning Poker Web. For a vote where nobody creates an account, Pointing Poker. For a free vote inside Jira, Planning Poker Agility.

Is there a planning poker tool with no limits?

Yes. Planning Poker Web, Pointing Poker and Scrum Poker Online have no cap on participants. Pointing Poker and the free plan of Scrum Poker Online show ads; Planning Poker Web does not.

Which planning poker tools work with Jira?

Planning Poker Web (OAuth, nothing to install), Planning Poker Online, Kollabe (paid plans), Parabol, PlanningPoker.com, Scrumpy (basic free, more as paid add-ons), and Marketplace apps such as Agile Poker for Jira and Planning Poker Agility.

Do I need an account to play planning poker online?

Not always. In Pointing Poker, Scrum Poker Online, Scrumpy and the TeamRetro app nobody needs one. In Planning Poker Web only the host does. In Parabol, Zenhub and Jira apps everyone does.

Why can Jira Marketplace apps cost more than they seem?

Cloud apps are billed at the user tier of your whole Jira site, not by the number of people who estimate. A company with 500 Jira users pays for 500, even if one team of 8 uses the app.

Is this comparison biased?

We make one of the tools, so read it with that in mind. Every figure comes from the vendor's own site, and we recommend other tools when they fit better.

Prices and limits from each vendor's own website and, for Jira apps, the pricing tab of their Atlassian Marketplace listing, checked in October 2026. Plans change: check each site for current terms. Logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify each product.
