Redmine’s Estimated time field is measured in hours. If your team uses story points, select a numeric custom field configured for that purpose. Do not treat hours as story points.

Before you connect
Your Redmine instance must have a publicly reachable HTTPS address. Private intranet hosts and HTTP-only URLs are not supported.
Enable the REST web service in Redmine and create an API access key for an account with the required project permissions.
The account needs permission to view the issues you import and edit the field where estimates are saved.

Do I need to install a Redmine plugin?
No. Planning Poker Web connects to Redmine’s REST API with an API access key. There is no plugin to install.
Can I connect a private or self-hosted Redmine instance?
Only if the instance is reachable at a public HTTPS address. Private network addresses and internal hostnames are blocked.
Are estimates saved as story points?
Not automatically. Redmine’s default Estimated time field is in hours. To store story points, select a numeric custom field configured for points.
What does the API key allow?
The key acts with the permissions of its Redmine account. Use an account that can access the intended project issues and update the estimate field.
How do I choose which Redmine issues to estimate?
Choose a project available to the connected account, then select the issues to import. You can filter the issue list.
Is Planning Poker Web free?
Yes. Planning Poker Web is free, with no limits on votes, tasks or rooms. Teammates join a room from a link without creating an account.
